Don has conducted numerous engagements in the diverse life sciences field including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical services markets. His practice is focused on senior-level general management and functional roles, and Don has recruited at the highest echelons including Board Director, President, and Vice President levels.
Within the healthcare industry, Don has conducted search assignments across a range of positions including Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Regulatory Affairs, and Research & Development. His knowledge of the industry, combined with his experience in recruiting superior executive talent, has delivered value creation for his clients.
Prior to the formation of Discovery Search Partners, Don was a senior search consultant at A.T. Kearney Executive Search and Ken Clark International where he served as an integral member of the life sciences and healthcare practices.
Don’s extensive background in the pharmaceutical industry offers an added depth and strength to his experience as an executive search professional. Throughout his pharmaceutical career, Don earned roles of increasing responsibility, led significant sales and marketing organizations, and worked closely with all levels of senior management in the development of strategies for marketed products, as well as products in development. Don’s solid foundation gives him a full understanding of the cultural nuances within life sciences and healthcare organizations, and a keen awareness of the unique characteristics required for success in these environments.
